Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Friday that the Holocaust was a “big lie” used to justify establishment of the state of Israel.
“The Zionist regime’s establishment was based on numerous deceptions and lies and one of the biggest lies was the Holocaust,” Ahmadinejad said in a speech after an anti-Israeli rally in Tehran and other Iranian cities.
The late supreme leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, declared the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan to be Qods, or Jerusalem, Day and called for annual mass rallies against Israel and in support of the Palestinians.
The president provoked international condemnation in 2005 when he said that Israel should be eliminated from the map of the Middle East and transferred to Europe or North America.
The international isolation of the Islamic republic escalated after Ahmadinejad held a Holocaust conference in 2006 in which he questioned whether the killing of 6 million Jews in Europe during World War II actually happened.
“On the one hand we have the Zionist regime as the global axis of thieves and murderers and on the other hand we have the Qods Day which is the axis of those seeking freedom, justice and end of suppression,” the president reiterated Friday at Tehran University.
The crowd at the university greeted the president’s remarks with cries of Allahu Akbar, meanting God is great, and by chanting anti-Israel slogans.
excellent, i agree
..and the repeating of the MEMRI lie about what he said continues.
He said that it was the corrupt and evil nature of the zionists would result in the zionist regime from disappearing from the pages of history.
that’s not israel, that’s not being wiped off the map, that’s a bunch of evil people self destructing.
What he said this time would be correct, the zionists created the holocaust myth from the ‘denazification’ plan (not to minimize the terrible suffering all people of europe suffered, including those of the jewish FAITH) – with the Rothschilds family at the helm of the creation of the state of Israel.
USE CRITICAL THINKING.

Thanks to Ahmadinejad for telling the truth in this very public way. And thanks to the so-called “holocaust deniers” who are in prison in Germany — they are NOT evil Nazi psychos! They are people telling the truth about something very important even though some have been falsely imprisoned for it. Very brave. These are human beings.
I live with a Persian and he has a bunch of Persian friends who hate Ahmadinijad with a passion. We argued one day about what Ahmadinijad really said and finally THEY demanded I bring up the speech, so I did. I don’t speak any Farsi whatsoever, can’t read it, can’t write. But they could. As the speech played, I asked… “Is he saying Israel?” Well…no. ” Is he saying Qods?” Yes. “Is Qods Israel?” No. Does he ever use any of the following words…Wipe, Israel, Off, The, Map?” Well….no. “Is he quoting someone else or saying this in his own words?” He is quoting the Ayatollah. “Does he say the words, vanish from the pages of time?” Yes. “When he says this, is he referencing Soviet Russia, which no longer exists?” Yes.
In the end, they had to agree he never said, “I want to wipe Israel off the map” though they still believe Ahmadinijad is an evil man. I asked if he has the authority to launch an attack on Israel? They said no, only the Supreme Council or whatever all the religious leaders are a part of. When I pressed, they admitted he has very little authority to do anything. Then they began explaining how the Supreme Council is evil and the military has lots of power and is evil, but ultimately they just don’t like Ahmadinijad. When I pressed for an answer as to why? He stole the election from the guy they wanted, the one the US said should have won. I think they might be a bit biased. However, ultimately, they admitted he never said Wipe Israel Off The Map.
Ahmadinejad is saying what the Supreme Council authorizes him to say then why call him evil?
Why don’t we call Obama our supreme puppet evil? He lies and is a bigger warmonger than Bush ever was.
At least we have a politician who is not afraid to speak up against this evil criminal Zionist regime in occupied Palestine and deserves to be applauded from the world community regardless whatever their religious background might be? Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks from his heart so leave him alone.
